Haroset

Introduction

My version of the Haroset follows the Sephardic tradition of using a variety of dried fruit. .

Ingredients

  • 1 Apple
  • 1/2 C Pitted Prunes
  • 1/2 C Apricots
  • 1/2 C Golden Raisins
  • 1/2 C Pecans or Walnuts
  • 1/4 C Pistachio Nut Meat
  • 1/2 - 1 C Manischewitz Concord Grape Wine
  • Ground Cinnamon to taste

Directions

Chop the apple in a food processor or by hand into 1/4" pieces.Chop the apple in a food processor or by hand into 1/4" pieces. Don't turn it to apple sauce. Reserve the apple to a bowl.
Dried FruitMeasure out:
  • 1/2 C Pitted Prunes
  • 1/2 C Apricots
  • 1/2 C Golden Raisins
Chop the fruitChop the dried fruit in a food processor
Add the nutsAdd the nuts to the processor.
Chop the nutsChop again.
Add the apples.Add the apples to the nuts. Toss.
Add the CinnamonSprinkle on Ground Cinnamon to taste.
Add 1/2 C of Manishewitz Concord Grape wine, or more to taste. Add 1/2 C of Manischewitz Concord Grape wine, or more to taste.
